Straight Axle  Chevy II, Nova AF/X

This Nickey Tribute Chevy II AF/X Altered wheel base Coupe is owned and built by John Tinberg.

This car has been featured in Magazines and showcased at National level shows such as 'The Super Car Reunion', in Colinsville, Illinios, the 'Chevy Vette Fest Nationals', in Chicago as well as other regional shows.

The car even made a few exciting wheels-up passes at Gateway International Raceway, during SCR10!

You can be certain that very few such races cars were built with the quality and attention to detail which went into this build.

The car is a Fovorite at every event it attends.

John scratch built this Monster to be a steetable 10 second 1/4 mile version of the the infamous Match Race cars of the 1960s. These were the predecessors to the Modern day "Funny Cars".

Bill Thomas Race Cars designed and built a Kit, which would allow virtually any serious enthusiast, to build one of these Match Racers.

The kit was offered directly through Bill Thomas Race Cars or The Nickey Chicago Hi-Performance parts catalogs, of the day.

While this Chevy II is not For Sale, we can build one very similar.
